PLURONIC RPE 1720

PLURONIC RPE 1720 is a nonionic surfactant composed of block copolymers with a central polyethylene oxide block flanked by two polypropylene oxide blocks. It is primarily used as a foam suppressant in the chemical and technical industries, as well as in water-based lubricants. In various industrial applications, PLURONIC RPE 1720 effectively controls foaming and contains reactive hydroxyl groups, allowing for chemical modifications such as esterification to enhance its foam-inhibiting properties or tailor it for specific needs. Modified forms can function as humectants, plasticizers, and lubricants. Additionally, it can be used to impregnate materials, increase fluid viscosity, provide dispersing effects, and reduce tack.
