PRECITE® K ICF 20 4 ECO black (8795) PRECITE® K ICF 20 4 ECO black (8795) is an AKRO-PLASTIC PBT/R-PET blend with 20% recycled carbon fiber reinforcement and hydrolysis stabilization. This unique material combines the benefits of an AKROMID® ICF compound and a PRECITE® ECO product, that are partly based on regenerated post-consumer feedstock and thus contribute to reducing waste and the consumption of valuable raw materials.
High-performance and sustainable
Like an ICF compound, PRECITE® K ICF 20 4 ECO black (8795) is lightweight, displays excellent stiffness, and good electrical conductivity. As part of the PRECITE® ECO line, it achieves all this with combination of 20% post-industrial recycled carbon fibre content and post consumer content coming from R-PET.
This polyester product has a lower density than PBT/PET blends that contain glass fiber reinforcement, but nonetheless performs with very high strength.
The compound has good tribological properties: it can withstand significant friction and wear. This performance, and the improved surface finish, together make it an ideal choice for precision components in automotive, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics, and household goods industries.
Crucially, PRECITE® K ICF 20 4 ECO black (8795) is hydrolysis stabilised. This makes it suitable for application where there is a medium-high level of humidity.
